Grand Power makes some incredible handguns. Some have referred to them as, “the best handguns you’ve never heard of”. I’ve been fortunate to get my hands on several of them including the XCalibur, K100, P11, P1 Ultra, P40, and recently the CP 380. Most famous for their rotating barrel and completely ambidextrous controls, the CP 380 is slightly different. Unlike the others the CP 380 uses the blowback operating system, but I couldn’t resist the chance to enjoy a double-stack .380. Who wouldn’t want to spend some range time with a pistol so small and light that still retains something to hold onto and a respectable capacity?
Want inconspicuous concealed carry? Get this small size semi-automatic Grand Power Handgun, built on a shortened steel frame with polymer grips and a steel insert. It's the ultimate in style and function. Chambered in .380 ACP, it provides beefy firepower, yet low recoil and reduced muzzle flip, thanks to its innovative rotary locking barrel system.
Eagle Imports will begin the importation of the Grand Power CP380 in 2016. The guns are new to the United States market and expand the Grand Power footprint in this country.
The guns are a double-action/single-action hammer-fired design with a steel frame and polymer grip. According to a Grand Power representative, the mainspring is in the hammer group, which is part of the steel frame sub-assembly. The below photo shows the frame.
